New ScotiaHockey NHL Visa Card

Scotiabank created a unique way to enrich the hockey experience for their customers and Canadian hockey fans alike with their new rewards credit card, the ScotiaHockey NHL VISA card.

This new offering from Scotiabank lets Canadian hockey fans personalize their credit card with their favourite NHL team’s logo and earn great hockey rewards and discounts at the same time.

The ScotiaHockey NHL Visa card has a $29 annual fee and gives cardholders the ability to earn reward points on every dollar spent.  This card charges the standard 19.99 per cent interest on monthly balances and allows cardholders to redeem their points for NHL game tickets and merchandise.

Cardholders receive a special signing bonus of 3,000 points with their first purchase.  Another benefit is the 20 per cent discount when shopping at the NHL’s online store, and 5x bonus points plus free skate sharpening at Sport Chek.

• 3,250 points gets you a $25 gift card for Shop.Canada.NHL.com; 5,000 points gets you a team t-shirt.
• Expect a mid-range regular season ticket to go for around 20,000 points including taxes and shipping.

You can earn over $180 in free merchandise when you spend at least $2,000 a month on the ScotiaHockey NHL Visa card.  The rewards, combined with the online discount, are a pretty good deal for most loyal hockey fans who already buy bumper stickers, jerseys and hats to show support for their favourite NHL team.
